American Mothers, Inc. provides the needed voice and programs for mothers to strengthen family commitments.

Teaching Mothers

Training to Improve Parenting Skills (TIPS) seminars and conferences
Presents recognized experts and AMI leaders in local, state, and regional settings to strengthen families and communities.

Academy for Mothers
Encourages and recognizes the personal development of mothers with our web-based curriculum.

Chapter Study
Provides friendship, understanding, and knowledge of parenting skills. Click here for example lessons from some of our local study chapters.

Literacy
Supports increased literacy at home and in the community through education, example, and tutoring.

Annual National Convention
Offers training, inspiration, recognition and camaraderie in different national locales.

Area, State & Mini-Conferences
Promotes national programs on each level with focus on local or regional needs.

Honoring Mothers

Mother of the Year
Honors State Mothers of the Year who represent the highest qualities of motherhood. A National Mother of the Year is chosen.

Young Mother Representative
Honors exemplary young mothers as peer role models who promote our Purpose. A Young Mother Representative to the AMI National Board is elected.

Mothers of Accomplishment
Recognizes mothers for their unique contributions to families through service and talents.

Cultural & Creative Arts Program
Encourages mothers to develop their talents and to teach, uplift, and share these talents with children and others.

Mother Mentoring
Links experienced mothers with those who feel a need for support and guidance as parents.

Protection of Children Against Pornography
Alerts and educates families about the harmful effects of offensive media.

Interfaith Alliances
Encourages interfaith events and prayer vigils that bring families and communities together asking for God's help for parents and for local and national leaders.

Mothers Against Abuse
Publishes and distributes booklets that help safeguard children from abuse.

ABC Quilts*
Creates quilts for children at risk.

The Christmas Box House*
Partners with The Christmas Box House for abused and neglected children who have been removed from unsafe environments.

Adocates for families nationally and internationally.
